Douglas wrote the book the series is based on and served as a consultant. The writing was superb, and the build up of tension and suspense throughout was amazing. There is a rich history to Silence of the Lambs, which you can learn more about with these behind-the-scenes facts. Hannibal Lecter is one of the most interesting characters I have ever read about and I can't wait to pick up the rest of the books and learn more about him. I really enjoyed reading every page and I devoured it whenever I picked it up. It is a mixture of everything I love in a book: it had suspense, horror, gore, mystery-solving and exciting characters.
